Bishop Stang got themselves on the board against Belchertown on Sunday, but Belchertown never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Orioles with a sharp 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Bishop Stang got a great performance from Landon Cardoza as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Cardoza has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brock Winslow, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Nate Moniz was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bishop Stang was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Belchertown only posted a batting average of .208.

Bishop Stang's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Belchertown, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.

Bishop Stang will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Orioles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Monday.
