Basketball Recap: Lawrenceburg's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westfield, Lawrenceburg was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Oldenburg Academy Twisters by a score of 53-46. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 63-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lawrenceburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brooklyn Craig led the charge by putting up 17 points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave Craig a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubree Labazzo, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 13 points and three steals.

Lawrenceburg's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7. As for Oldenburg Academy, they moved to 14-2 with that loss, which also ended their 13-game winning streak.

Lawrenceburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 49-39 win against Jac-Cen-Del on the 15th. Oldenburg Academy has also already played their next game, a 57-24 victory against South Dearborn on the 16th.
