Softball Game Preview: Washington-Marion Charging Indians vs. LaGrange Gators

The Washington-Marion Charging Indians will head out on the road to square off against the LaGrange Gators at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Washington-Marion and 21 for LaGrange dating back to last season.

Washington-Marion came up short against Eunice on Tuesday, falling 18-2.

Washington-Marion saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lia Thomas, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, LaGrange lost 15-5 to Leesville on Tuesday.

LaGrange's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Washington-Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Washington-Marion came out on top in a nail-biter against LaGrange in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 19-18. The rematch might be a little tougher for Washington-Marion since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
