Basketball Preview: Springfield Yellow Jackets vs. Russellville Panthers        
        
		
             The Springfield Yellow Jackets are taking a road trip to  take on the Russellville Panthers  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Russellville took a loss in their last  matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Springfield, who comes in off a win.
 Springfield will bounce into Friday's   game after  beating Greenbrier, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Springfield sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  45-42  victory over Greenbrier  on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Yellow Jackets have posted  since January 27th.
 Springfield got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Taleah Patterson out in front who  posted ten points.  Ti'Maria Barbee was another key player,  posting six points along with seven  rebounds.
 Springfield  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 17  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least 13  offensive rebounds in six consecutive  contests  dating back to last season.
 Meanwhile, Russellville was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They took  a  57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Webster County.
 Russellville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Springfield, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
