Baseball Recap: Forbes Road Comes Up Short

Forbes Road had lost 17 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 1-16 to make it 18. They came up short against the Tussey Mountain Titans, falling 10-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Tussey Mountain this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-3 two weeks ago.

As for Tussey Mountain, the win got them back to even at 9-9. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by seven runs or more this season.

For Tussey Mountain's part, Jack Stoudnour and Ben Kormanski did most of the damage at the plate: Stoudnour went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Kormanski went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits Stoudnour has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Austin Lashinsky, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forbes Road will square off against Everett at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tussey Mountain, they will host Berlin Brothersvalley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
