Basketball Game Preview: Port Jervis Raiders vs. Delaware Valley Warriors

The Port Jervis Raiders and the Delaware Valley Warriors will round out the year against one another at at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Port Jervis is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Beacon just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They were beaten by the Bulldogs 74-46. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 103rd).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Delaware Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 56-43 victory over Stroudsburg on Monday.

Delaware Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Port Jervis, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Port Jervis came up short against Delaware Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 60-47. Can Port Jervis avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
