            The Garrard County Golden Lions will head out to  challenge the Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Garrard County put up the most  runs they have all season  on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Frankfort  a   17-0 shutout. The Golden Lions not only won  on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win  since March 19, 2024.
 Emily Hounshell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Hounshell was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI and one  triple.

 In other batting news,  Jazlynn Shelton and  Zoe Jordon did most of the damage at the plate:  Shelton  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4, while  Jordon  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4. Those  three  hits gave  Shelton a new career-high.  Destiny Logan also deserves some recognition as  she  scored her first  run of the season.
 Garrard County was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .300 or higher in three consecutive  games.
 Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs  on Monday. Paul Laurence Dunbar blew past Burgin 18-1. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Paul Laurence Dunbar.
 The  victory snapped Garrard County's losing streak at four games  and leaves them with a 7-7 record. As for Paul Laurence Dunbar,  the  win also got them back to even at 7-7.
