Soccer Game Preview: Discovery vs. Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology

Discovery hasn't had much luck against Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Discovery Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology Griffins at 3:00 p.m.

Discovery is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Wednesday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Magnolia Science Academy Reseda.

Meanwhile, Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 goals) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Jaguars as they made off with a 7-2 victory. Considering the Griffins have won nine contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Collins Family from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Julian Jimenez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Discovery's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.

Discovery suffered a grim 10-1 defeat to Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can Discovery avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
