Freeman came tearing into Monday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Liberty Lancers 28-4. Considering the Scotties have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Freeman's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Liberty, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna, and Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna. As for the Lancers, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Freeman will venture away from home to challenge Colfax at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Scotties' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Liberty, they will head out to face off against Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Broncos have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.15 runs per game on average), something the Lancers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
