Volleyball Recap: Nevis Comes Up Short

Nevis lost against Brainerd back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Nevis sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 15-25, 15-5.

Among those leading the charge was Sophia White, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Nevis' defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Brainerd, their win bumped their record up to 3-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nevis will head out to face off against Sebeka at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brainerd, they will challenge St. Cloud Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
