Volleyball Recap: Valley Vikings vs. Fredericktown Black Cats

Valley lost against Fredericktown back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Vikings took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Black Cats.

Ryleigh Maxwell paced Valley's offense, picking up four kills. Maxwell got some help from Hallie Abney and her seven assists. Taylor Bourbon controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Fredericktown's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley TInnin- Mangold, who had four aces and three digs.

Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10-4 record this season. As for Fredericktown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-16.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Valley and Crossroads will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Fredericktown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
