Recap: Bulloch Academy Gators vs. Pinewood Christian Patriots
The Bulloch Academy Gators put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 22-16 W over Pinewood Christian. For Bulloch Academy, this counts as revenge for the 36-34 defeat Pinewood Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bulloch Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Danye Garvin, who rushed for 125 yards on only 11 carries. Garvin hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. Ben Aaron also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Bulloch Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 10-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 Savannah and 2-7-1 Tiftarea Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 37% over those games). As for Pinewood Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
Bulloch Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Westfield School at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. After each having a week off, Pinewood Christian and Brookwood will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Brookwood is ranked 325th, while Pinewood Christian is ranked 326th).
