Baseball Recap: Clay Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Clay, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Bowling Green Bobcats on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won six in a row.

The result came thanks to Landon Eversman's shutout, as he gave up just two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Clay is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Clay saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Weseman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Those three hits gave Weseman a new career-high.

Clay's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Bowling Green, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
