Volleyball Recap: Socastee Comes Up Short

Socastee had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-16 to make it eight. They lost 3-0 to the Conway Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

As for Conway, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 12-10. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 18th (when they won 3-0).

Elizabeth Mau had an outrageously good game as she had 19 digs and three assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last nine matchups.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Socastee will face off against rival St. James at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Conway is set to square off against their familiar foe Carolina Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
