Chipley proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 26) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Walton Braves 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Karley Welch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kenzlee Nelson, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Ava Chadwell was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
