Volleyball Recap: Oshkosh West Comes Up Short

Oshkosh West was the 2-1 winner over Brookfield East when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

Sydnee Nelson paced Oshkosh West's offense, picking up eight kills. Nelson got some help from MaKaelyn Clark and her 19 assists. Emma Liebergen controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Leading Brookfield East to victory were Amorina Compean-Costello and Izzy Green. Compean-Costello had 18 digs and two assists, while Green had five digs and two aces. Compean-Costello has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Oshkosh West's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Brookfield East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Oshkosh West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Fond du Lac on the 26th. As for Brookfield East, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Shawano Community on the 26th.
