Miller hadn't done well against Warner recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Rustlers skirted past the Monarchs 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 on September 9th.

Paige Werdel paced Miller's offense, picking up 11 kills. Werdel got some help from Gracen Werdel and her 23 assists. Gracen also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emma Pugh, each putting up two.

Brynn Hill and Tatum Hanson certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Hill had 19 digs, while Hanson had ten assists and nine digs.

Miller is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Warner, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-4.

Miller has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Western Christian on the 27th. As for Warner, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Watertown on the 27th.
