Baseball Recap: Bartlett's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Bartlett dropped their record down to 7-5 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell 5-2 to the Auburn Rockets. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Indians couldn't push the score so high this time.

Kole Sebastyanski was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Melendez, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.

As for Auburn, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games.

On Auburn's side, Liam Doyle tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave Doyle a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

At the plate, Auburn's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lorenzo Santos-Diaz, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Auburn is set to challenge their familiar foe Tantasqua Regional at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rockets 2.1, the Warriors 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
