Recap: Greenville Tech Charter Warriors vs. Landrum Cardinals
The Greenville Tech Charter Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 71-23 defeat at the hands of Landrum. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Greenville Tech Charter in their matchups with Landrum: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Greenville Tech Charter still got an impressive performance from Mercedes Santerini, who scored ten points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Santerini has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Greenville Tech Charter struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Landrum racked up 18 assists.
Landrum was led to victory by Savannah Brown and Kylie Fortner. Brown scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and five assists, while Fortner scored 14 points along with five steals. Kaylee Cortez was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven steals.
Greenville Tech Charter has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Landrum, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.
