Volleyball Recap: Mission College Prep Comes Up Short

Mission College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pioneer Valley Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Friday.

Mission College Prep may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 19 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19.

Mission College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Pioneer Valley, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-10.

Coming up, Mission College Prep will square off against Templeton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pioneer Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Atascadero on the 8th.
