Softball Game Preview: Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Halifax Academy Vikings

Harrells Christian Academy is 0-4 against Halifax Academy since April of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders will head out to square off against the Halifax Academy Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Harrells Christian Academy has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Harrells Christian Academy is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. Breelyn Peed put in work while hitting and pitching. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Mary Willow Rumbold was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three RBI. That hit marked the first that she got this season.

Meanwhile, Halifax Academy came up short against Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association on Saturday, falling 8-1.

Halifax Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Barlow, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Halifax Academy now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Harrells Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Halifax Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Harrells Christian Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Halifax Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Harrells Christian Academy keep running through batters, or will Halifax Academy buck the trend?
