Baseball Recap: Wright City Comes Up Short

If Wright City was riding high fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Winfield on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats came up short against Father Tolton on Tuesday, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since April 12th.

Wright City's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-11. As for Father Tolton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6-1 record this season.

Wright City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Father Tolton, they will square off against Fulton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Father Tolton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
