Softball Recap: Elkhorn Has No Trouble Against Wilmot

Elkhorn won the last time they faced Wilmot and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Elks were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over the Panthers. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Elks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Elkhorn got a massive performance out of Ellie Jacobson, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Macy Salek, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Elkhorn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Elkhorn's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Wilmot, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.
