Volleyball Recap: Carleigh Dotson and Kamryn Gaskamp Secure Win for Blanco + How To Watch

Blanco can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against the Bandera BULLDOGS by a score of 3-1. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the BULLDOGS walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Blanco had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-9, 25-13, 25-16.

Blanco was led to victory by Kamryn Gaskamp and Carleigh Dotson. Gaskamp had six digs and two aces, while Dotson had 12 kills, eight digs, and four aces. That's the most kills Dotson has posted over her last six games.

They weren't the only good server: Blanco was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, Bandera had strong showings from Sydney Moore, who had 13 digs and ten kills, and Taytum Moeller, who had 23 digs and one assist. Moore is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 28 games she's played. Hannah Wells was another key player, getting 18 digs.

Blanco's win bumped their record up to 8-19. As for Bandera, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blanco will welcome Johnson City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bandera, they will be playing at home against TMI-Episcopal at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
