Basketball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin lost against Bellbrook back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Franklin Wildcats were beaten by the Bellbrook Golden Eagles 62-20. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 677th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 63rd).

Franklin has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for Bellbrook, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

Looking ahead, Franklin will take on Tippecanoe in a tournament on February 14th. Bellbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
