Softball Recap: Clarksburg Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Clarksburg Coyotes didn't have quite enough to beat the Linganore Lancers and fell 3-2.

Bryanna Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Clarksburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabby Encinas, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Clarksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Clarksburg will face off against Whitman at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Linganore, they will take on Liberty on March 21st.
