Recap: Basile Bearcats vs. Westminster Christian Academy
The Basile Bearcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They suffered a rough 68-48 defeat at the hands of Westminster Christian Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Basile has suffered since December 19, 2023.
Westminster Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zade Prejean led the charge by scoring 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Prejean has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Spraggins, who scored 16 points.
Basile dropped their record down to 3-12 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Basile will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against East Beauregard at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Eunice at 6:00 p.m.
