Soccer Game Preview: Jupiter vs. Vero Beach

Jupiter and Vero Beach are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but likely not for long. The Jupiter Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Vero Beach Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jupiter will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Jupiter's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Royal Palm Beach as Jupiter made off with an 8-0 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by four goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Vero Beach got the win against Tradition Prep on Tuesday by a conclusive 8-0. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Pirates are ranked 502nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jupiter's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those six games. As for Vero Beach, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4-3 record this season.

Jupiter took their victory against Vero Beach in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 3-0. Does Jupiter have another victory up their sleeve, or will Vero Beach turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
