Softball Recap: Louisburg Comes Up Short

Louisburg and Washington squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Louisburg had to settle for second. They came up short against the Pam Pack, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Louisburg saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Norris, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Norris has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

The defeat snapped Louisburg's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-9 record. As for Washington, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Louisburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Washington, they will take on South Granville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Pam Pack surely won't give up without a fight.
