Baseball Game Preview: Gunn Titans vs. American Eagles

The Gunn Titans will face off against the American Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Gunn fell victim to North Salinas and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Gunn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonah Weinstein, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, American was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 8-0 to Dublin.

American's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Gunn, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Gunn's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's matchup. Gunn has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for American, though, as they've been averaging only 0.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Gunn continue to outrun the ball?
