Softball Recap: Ironton Fighting Tigers vs. Rock Hill Redmen        
        
		
            
 Ironton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with  a   9-5  victory over the Rock Hill Redmen. That's more bragging rights for Ironton, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Braylin Wallace spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in ten consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Ironton let  Katelyn Moore and  Khamil Martin loose on the outfield. Moore  went 2-for-4 with a  home run, four  RBI,  and a  double, while  Martin  scored three  runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Emily Weber, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Ironton has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 15 of their last 16 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record  this season. As for Rock Hill,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-12.
 Ironton will take on South Webster at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Ironton is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road. Rock Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
