Baseball Recap: Payson Comes Up Short

Payson lost against Uintah on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions fell 7-2 to the Utes. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Payson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Neves, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Payson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Uintah, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-12.

Looking ahead, Payson will be playing at home against American Leadership Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lions are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Uintah, they will head out on the road to take on Mountain View at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
