Basketball Game Preview: North Side Steers vs. Irving Tigers

The North Side Steers will take on the Irving Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

North Side is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Diamond Hill-Jarvis just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 64-43 to the Eagles. The Steers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-19.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Darien Fantroy, who posted seven points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Emmitt Washington, who put up 11 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Irving was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell to Creekview 46-41.

North Side's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Irving, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
