Basketball Game Preview: Holy Trinity Tigers vs. Walther Christian Academy Broncos

The Holy Trinity Tigers will head out to square off against the Walther Christian Academy Broncos at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Holy Trinity will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Holy Trinity is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Our Lady of Tepeyac: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Holy Trinity blew Our Lady of Tepeyac out of the water with a 38-3 final score. Holy Trinity pushed the score to 32-3 by the end of the third, a deficit Our Lady of Tepeyac had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Walther Christian Academy). They blew past Cristo Rey Jesuit 59-26 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Broncos.

Walther Christian Academy has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-16 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.2 points. As for Holy Trinity, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Holy Trinity didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Walther Christian Academy when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 29-23 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Holy Trinity since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
