Basketball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 65-42 to the Spencerville Bearcats. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 615th, while the Bearcats are ranked sixth).

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Spencerville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Jefferson won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Paulding at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Spencerville, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Spencerville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
