Murray Came Up Big in Bellville's 63-20 Victory
Starting off the list is Bellville's Dd Murray, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Murray rushed for 192 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 115 rushing yards.
La Grange's probably not too fond of Murray given he always seems to get the better of them. When Murray last faced the Leopards back in August of 2023, he rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries.

Tristan Whaley Turns in Season-Best Effort
Tristan Whaley produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Madisonville to the win on Friday. Whaley picked up 131 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 82 yards.
For the year, Whaley has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 37.1 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had three receiving touchdowns.

Ty Williams Dazzles in Madisonville Victory
Keeping Whaley company is Ty Williams, a fellow Madisonville player. He threw for 222 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 9-for-9 passing.
Unfortunately for Caldwell, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Williams. When Williams last faced the Hornets back in September of 2023, he threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 7-for-7 passing, and also rushed for 43 yards.

On Friday, Bellville got the W thanks in part to D'Ante Keys playing the best football he has all season. He has become a key player for Bellville: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two sacks, but 1-2 otherwise.
