Preview: Huntington Raiders vs. Woodlawn-B.R. Panthers
The Huntington Raiders will be playing at home against the Woodlawn-B.R. Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Huntington took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 44-6 victory over Bossier. Given Huntington's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Bossier is ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Landon Gibbs and Kaleb Tucker were among the main playmakers for Huntington as the former threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes and the latter picked up 48 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Woodlawn-B.R. didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Scotlandville on Friday, but they still walked away with a 24-20 win. The win was just what Woodlawn-B.R. needed coming off of a 35-0 defeat in their prior matchup.
Huntington has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Woodlawn-B.R., they pushed their record up to 3-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
