Banning came tearing into Thursday's match with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Cathedral City Lions as they made off with a 19-3 victory. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 10-0 victory on Monday.

Banning got a massive performance out of Joe Clark, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Clark a new career-high. John Lara III was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.

Banning's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Cathedral City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That lines up perfectly with their 4-12 record this season.
