Volleyball Recap: National Cathedral Falls Short Against Ranked Georgetown Day + How To Watch

National Cathedral faced Georgetown Day in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. National Cathedral came up short against Georgetown Day, falling 3-0. National Cathedral hasn't had much luck with Georgetown Day recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

National Cathedral took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-9, 25-12.

Kennedy Williams paced National Cathedral's offense, picking up seven kills. Williams got some help from Lilly Kennedy and her six assists. Finally, Williams was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Ella Higday was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had nine digs and four aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

National Cathedral's loss dropped their record down to 15-4-1. As for Georgetown Day, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

National Cathedral does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Georgetown Day, they will head out to take on Bishop Ireton at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
