If Newberry wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Williston, they should've done a better job of containing Amelia Smith. The Red Devils came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday for which the team can thank Smith, who had 18 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Williston had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-14.

Williston picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Newberry, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Williston will head out to challenge Bronson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Newberry, they will host Chiefland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
