Baseball Game Preview: Woodburn Bulldogs vs. Estacada Rangers

The Woodburn Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Estacada Rangers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodburn has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Woodburn came up short against Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts on Monday, falling 14-3.

Woodburn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevon Grassham, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Estacada's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Lebanon by a score of 15-14.

Will Olson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Liam Johnston, who scored two runs while getting on base in all six of his plate appearances.

Estacada's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-1. As for Woodburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
