Football Recap: Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy Skates Past Garretson with Ease

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 59-7 win over the Garretson Blue Dragons. The result was nothing new for Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy, who have now won six contests by 35 points or more so far this season.

Despite the loss, Garretson still got an impressive performance from Jackson Arend, who picked up 98 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 52.7 points this season. As for Garretson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy will challenge Kimball/White Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Garretson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
