Softball Recap: Nevada Starts Season with Win Against Lafayette County

Nevada had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Lafayette County Cougars with a sharp 17-2 victory on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Jays as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nevada will head out to take on Emerson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lafayette County, they will venture away from home to challenge Blevins at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
