Baseball Game Preview: Centennial Cougars vs. Franklin Admirals

For the second straight game, Centennial will face off against Franklin. The Cougars will square off against the Admirals at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Franklin hit Centennial with a four-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Admirals. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ben Gant was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Mateo Bruzzese also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

The win was the third in a row for Franklin, bringing their record up to 17-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Centennial, they now have a losing record of 13-14.
