Volleyball Recap: Spencerville Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Jefferson on Thursday, Spencerville came back down to earth. The Bearcats came up short against the Fort Recovery Indians on Monday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2016.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-12.

Fort Recovery found their leader in freshman Kayla Gaerke, who had nine digs and four assists.

Spencerville's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Fort Recovery, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season.

Spencerville will square off against Allen East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bearcats are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Fort Recovery, they will take on Versailles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
