Football Recap: Matthew Wells and Darrius Mccrimmon Pace Wallace-Rose Hill Defense + How To Watch

If Wallace-Rose Hill was feeling good fresh off their 58-0 takedown of Rosewood last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell 28-21 to the James Kenan Tigers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Tigers are ranked 101st).

Despite the loss, Wallace-Rose Hill still got an impressive performance from Jamarae Lamb, who rushed for 234 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 30 yards and one TD. Lamb's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 140 rushing yards.

Wallace-Rose Hill didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Matthew Wells and Darrius McCrimmon.

Wallace-Rose Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for James Kenan, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Wallace-Rose Hill will welcome Greene Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Lamb and Dejuan Cobb. James Kenan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
