Volleyball Recap: Youngker Takes a Loss

Youngker lost against Independence on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Roughriders lost 3-0 to the Patriots. The Roughriders' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-19, 25-14.

Youngker's loss dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Independence, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Youngker will square off against rival Verrado at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Independence is set to face off against their familiar foe Glendale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Patriots' favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while the Cardinals have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
