Football Recap: Eisenhower Knights vs. Saegertown Panthers
If Saegertown wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Eisenhower, they should've done a better job of containing Caleb Jakubczak. The Knights snuck past the Panthers with a 34-28 win on Friday for which the team can thank Jakubczak, who rushed for 167 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Blake Burchill, who rushed for 115 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of William Shaffer, who rushed for 108 yards and two TDs on only 13 carries.

The victory got Eisenhower back to even at 1-1. As for Saegertown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Eisenhower and Saegertown will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Knights will challenge rival Iroquois at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Saegertown is set to take on their familiar foe Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
