Basketball Recap: Canton Piles Up the Points Against Van-Far

There's no place like home for Canton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They blew past the Van-Far Indians, posting a 62-31 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elliott Utterback, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Khloe Wallace, who earned five points.

Canton's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9. As for Van-Far, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Canton will venture away from home to face off against Hamilton/Warsaw at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hamilton/Warsaw is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season. As for Van-Far, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Montgomery County at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd.
