After flying high against Belvidere last Saturday, Larkin came back down to earth. The Larkin Royals fell 51-38 to the Wauconda Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Royals' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Larkin's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Wauconda, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Larkin and Elgin will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Wauconda will take on Crystal Lake Central in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Crystal Lake Central will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Wauconda surely won't give up without a fight.
